THE Striped Bass Tournement

For the first time ever the Cortlandt Yacht Club has opened their facilities to a striped bass derby. The Clubhouse, free dockage for all three days, hot showers, a Holiday Inn close by and an attitude about striper fishing that has all but disappeared on the Hudson River.

The trip from the Hudson River through the NYS Canal is one that I have written about before. It is fun, scenic and very different from what some of us are used to. The canal system is very boater friendly with marinas and the canal locks which act as a park for your enjoyment.
