Question: Hi Alex, I have a 2002 Yamaha 115hp 4-stroke outboard boat engine. Just when I need the engine the most, as I was approaching a dock or slip the engine stalls. It makes my hair stand on end! I have tried everything, new plugs, and fuel filter. Have run most of old gas out of the tank. I even tried sea-foam and stable 360. Some people said I needed new fuel injectors, however engine runs just fine at greater speeds. So it cannot be the injectors. Please Help!
Alex: Without actually testing this engine my guess is that it is out of time. It needs to be hooked up to Yamahas YDS scan tool in order to see if the throttle-positioning sensor was working correctly?… READ FULL ARTICLE
