Waterford’s annual Steamboat Meet is coming back to the harborfront on Saturday, July 1 with food, vendors, boat rides, and beautifully restored and maintained steamboats. Historic and interesting vessels will line the docks and mooring wall, with vendors stretching across the length of the canalside park from the “Battery” to Lock E-2 in the storied Waterford Flight, in front of the Waterford Harbor Visitors Center, at the entrance to the Erie Canal in upstate New York. The event runs from 10AM till dusk, followed by one of the best fireworks displays in upstate New York right overhead.
