Featuring the Antique & Classic Boat Show and the National Boat Building Challenge
The Hudson River Maritime Museum in Kingston, New York has partnered with the Hudson River Chapter of the Antique & Classic Boat Society and the National Boat Building Challenge to present The Maritime Festival. Held on Saturday, June 22 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., the museum will welcome returning local competitors and national champions to compete in the National Boatbuilding Challenge. Teams of two compete to build a 12-foot Carolina Bateaux in under four hours and then race them. The museum’s docks will host a wide variety of antique and classic boats. There will be a boat parade on the Rondout Creek in the afternoon.
