The Newburgh Yacht Club is located at Latitude N41° 30.971’, Longitude W 074° 00.389’ about one mile south of the Newburgh-Beacon bridge, along the West bank of the Hudson River. It is one of the oldest boat clubs on the Hudson River!It was incorporated in 1885, with the objective of promoting the advancement, promotion and encouragement of safe, recreational boating. The Newburgh Yacht Club was the center of social an economic power in the City of Newburgh with many captains of commerce both from the Hudson River and the City of Newburgh as members. Remember that the Hudson River was the main commercial highway, with the Port of Newburgh one of the leading ports on the Hudson River during the early years of the Newburgh Yacht Clubs existence
