Sue was overweight, eating lots
of junk food and was a MAJOR
sugar addict. If more than a
few hours had passed since Sue
had her sugar fix, you could
usually find her at the nearest
convenience store buying even
more Peppermint Patties and
M@M’s as well as an ultra high
sugar filled Snapple Raspberry
Iced Tea. She was doing well
in the business world but life
overall just felt kind of empty
to her.
Then one day she met certi-
fied health coach Alison Joli-
coeur and her life was forever
changed for the better. Alison
helped Sue to explore not just
her eating habits but her over-
all lifestyle choices and helped
remind her that what she ate
not only affected her physically
but also mentally and emo-
tionally. In addition, Alison
reminded Sue that food would
not fill the emptiness she felt
from not addressing the other
areas of her life.
The rest is history. Over the
course of the next three months
she kicked her sugar habit, cut
out most junk foods and started
eating healthier, incorporat-
ing more fruits, vegetables, and
whole grains into her diet. She
lost 12 pounds, incorporated
more physical activity into her
life and got into really good
shape. The biggest news of
all is she met the man of her
dreams and will be getting
married next year!
Now who is Alison and what
inspired her to help empower
women? Ever since Alison
was a child, she had suffered
with eczema, which was at
times an excruciatingly pain-
ful condition resulting in
red, inflamed and itchy skin.
Treatments used were various
cortisone creams, which only
treated the symptoms but did
not address the cause.
Many children outgrow the
condition but while Alison was
attending college, the condi-
